I caller local trans shop spoke to a tech he was more concerned about making sure the vacuum modulator was getting around 15-17 vacuum at idle , when I hook the gauge up it was getting near 50 . He said try switching to 3rd manually but all I see is L1 L2 then D . Not sure if because they had it to the carb before when rpms go up vacuum drops alot if that messed up something internal 3rd gear clutches possibly... I believe the kickdown is only for downshifts as well . But if the weather is decent today after switching new vacuum lines, adjusting vac modulator, pan drop with new filter hoping for the best .

 

After driving no change still no 3rd in D , but after speaking to my uncle I did not know D is 3rd is your shifting manual so I tried L1 L2 then D and it had to of went into 3rd bc the acceleration/power was there could easily got over 60mph now just need to know why it only goes into 3rd manually . Will call local trans shop again tomorrow
