Hey guys needing a bit of help/advice. I have a 2010 Colorado and recently the keys have been lost. Contacted a dealership and locksmith about the issue provided all information(VIN, proof of ownership) and neither have been able to cut a key. They both told me when they get the code and put it in the machines it gives them invalid code so they are not able to get the cuts. Any ideas as to why this could be? Next options? I'm at a crossroad on what to do about the situation. Thanks in advance.

 

Welcome from Florida. I would double check to make sure I have the correct vin and then try a different dealership and locksmith if needed. A good locksmith should be able to make a key and then set it up so the computer will read it.

 

Did you check the VIN and have a backup key or called a locksmith? if so you should be okay
