Default Gas Mileage

Can you guys help me out and give me a realistic idea of what a 3.5L colorado crew cab gets for mileage, in town and on highway? I am looking at a 2006 and am curious. Thanks.

I'm wondering too, as I am looking to downsize from a full-size.

I previously owned a 2005 Colorado with the 3.5 and did not much better than 22 mpg. Was not that impressed for a 5 cyl.

Talking

You can get that kind of mileage with a new Silverado and own a "real" truck!

I own a 2004 Chevy crewcab 3.5, second owner. I got it with 74,000 miles on it. Until I tightened the rear spark plug down properly I was getting 25 m.p.g. highway, now it gets 33. Talk about pep it has it. Weighing in at a mere 3,065 lbs. no wonder it gets excellent gas mileage. Treat them with timely mainentance and you will get wonderful trouble free miles. Happy motoring.

I had a new short wheelbase Silverado with the 5.3 six speed and a 3.42 axel, that truck was lucky to see 13 MPG in mixed driving.

I usually get better MPG than most people, but not on that truck, I bought that expensive combination because it was suppose to be the best for MPG it was not.
