Default engine stall when warm

Hi!

Hi!
i have a LS 7 covette engine. It idle smoothly until 20+ minutes and stall. the temperature sensor shows that it is about 78 deg only, while the designed maximum temperature is 120 deg. I have repeated the experiment a few times and it never fail to stall at temperature 78 deg!

some other weird characteristic:
1. The fan on at 70 deg, while according to the supplier it should be starting at 90deg
2. the rpm fluctuates before stalling
3. idling rpm is not constant. sometimes it idle at 1200rpm and other times can be at 800rpm
4. if i run the engine with bonnet open, it doesn't stall. the reason can be probably because the engine temperature does not reach 78 deg.

what makes the engine stall?

It is 3 years old and has very low mileage (<5000km). it doesn't have a cold air intake.

Most, if not all, new cars run at about 200*F. Not sure what you've got but sounds like a thermostat that's stuck open.

yes. the temperature mentioned is in celcius.
i've solved the problem. it is because of contaminated fuel pipe that leads to fuel filter choke.

thanks for all the suggestions =)
