Default Chevrolet Cruze 2015 Lt Bluetooth, Compass, and Onstar problem

So, about a year ago my bluetooth function started acting weird. At first is would not work here and there. Until one day the whole option to use it had disappeared. Even if I go to settings and then phone settings it just says " Not available". I changed the fuse for the bluetooth function and that didn't work. I then took it to the dealership and they said they have no idea why it was acting like that. Now the compass feature on the dash has disappeared. Someone told me that if i don't pay for onstar then I can't get those features anymore. I'm not sure if that is true or not. I'm so frustrated with this car and am on the brink of getting rid of it. Please. I need help. The dealership just keeps giving me the run around.

Have you had the dealership do a diagnostic on it or are you just asking them? The only way they or anyone can tell you for sure is looking for fault codes, then inspecting from there. One possibility is there may be a new software update for the radio available, this happens quite a bit for entertainment systems that have to keep up with technology and work out bugs. Again though, the dealer would have to see if thats an option and perform the update.

I seriously doubt an Onstar subscription would be necessary for either of those functions, but you never know. Did it happen right when your subscription expired?

When I took it to the dealership they told me that they couldn't figure out why it was not working. They even said they called onstar to see if onstar still could locate my car. I mentioned if the software needed to be updated and they told me that the software wouldn't make these things stop working. Just trying to see if it could possibly be anything else.
