Who knows at this point. I'm currently dealing with GM Customer Care and BBB Autoline. It's been about 10 days.

If something doesn't happen quickly, I'm going to the next step of filing a lawsuit.

 

Just to add another one with same issue. The light comes on, then goes away after a day or two. Remote start won't work when the light is on.
I was able to check it at home, then I went to the dealer. I was told they tested the injectors and ended up changing three of them. Few days later the light came on again. I will go back to the dealer, but I was told on the phone that GM let them know that something is going on with the cold weather ???
The service rep said that I should contact GM customer service.

 

I bought sept 2024 the 2025 equinox. I also had engine light on 3 times, 2 of the times turned out to be active air shutters frozen open or closed ( unsure which way) . Had went thru car wash both times this happens within 1/2 day the engine light came on. so lesson learned do not get car washed when below 32 degrees.
3rd time was a bit more serious, phone app stated engine transmission issue, took in turned out to be engine oil sensor malfunction, leaked oil all over back of engine. thank goodness caught in time. replaced the sensor. will see how things go from here

 

I bought a 2019 Equinox LT last fall for an extra car in my house. Clean CarFax, 54K miles. Check Engine light went on a week after I bought it. Took it to several mechanics - one replaced fuel injectors, one replaced oxygen sensors etc etc. Light went off a few months ago, went on again today. 59K.

 

I was driving and the engine downshifted hard, got a reduce acceleration message and a flashing check engine light. Taking it to the dealer for them to run a scan. Second trip in after electrical issues last week that called for a reset.

Kind of disappointed as this was the last chance I was giving Chevrolet after my transmission in my Silverado went out at 112k miles.

 

I will never buy another Chevy. Ever.
