AC Problems after heater core replacement

So I hardly had enough time to pat myself on the back for taking the heater core challenge on my wifes 2008 3.4l awd before another problem popped up.<o

Recharged the AC system and it was blowing cold...but it would "pulse" blowing harder when you'd accelerate. anyway, it did that for about a week then ac just stop working all together. I added some refrig. to put it at the high end of the safe mark. that didn't work.<o

So when you push the AC button, you hear the condenser sound like it's going to start but never does. AC light flashes 6 times and shuts off.<o

Any thoughts? <o

I'm guessing you mean you hear the compressor starting? but then it doesn't?
Are you using an AC manifold gauge set or the red blue green gauge on a can of R134?
Its possible the system is over charged and the sound you heard was the compressor slugging the liquid refrigerant...
is the air speed changing out the vents or is the coolness changing?
if its the coolness/coldness, its possible the compressor is going/has gone out..

On the 2005-2009 Equinox:
Calibrate the actuators by simultaneously pushing the A/C and RECIRC buttons on the HVAC control module three times each, within two seconds of initial push.
- The A/C and RECIRC button LED's will flash while this calibration is taking place.
- The calibration will take anywhere between 10 to 30 seconds depending on battery voltage.
- The LEDs will quit flashing when the calibration is complete.
I also agree that the A/C system may be overfilled. I think you'd be better off taking it somewhere to make sure it's done right. It shouldn't cost any more than a $150 if no parts need to be replaced.

Thanks for all the replied and ideas. I discharged some refrig. and the clutch kicked on. pressure is at 28-33 while the condens. is cycling. Tried to do the fuse recalibrate but not sure if it did anything.
Problem now is the control panel seems to want to do what it ants when it wants. if I push the recirc. button, it will switch to fresh air, then back to recirc. a/c lit will be on, then turn off for a sec. then back on. A/C is running and cold but I'm getting rpm spikes from 600 to 900 back to 600 (when condens. cycles. Can't be sure if it did this before though. Was there any kind of lube/oil that you're suppose to put in the system when you recharge it? I don't want to burn up the condens. if all I used was r134a.
Thanks.

-Do I do this with the car running or just ing. in the on posit?
Here is the procedure from the service manual...

Actuator Recalibration
When replacing the HVAC control module it will be necessary to allow the HVAC control module to perform a calibration process. When installing the HVAC control module be sure to perform the following:
Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.
Place the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the scan tool.
Install the HVAC control module.
Connect all previously disconnected components.
Start the vehicle.
Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.
Verify that no DTCs have set as current DTCs.
When replacing the HVAC actuator it will be necessary to allow the HVAC control module to perform a calibration process. When installing the HVAC actuator be sure to perform one of the following:
Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.
Preferred Method (w/ Scan Tool)
Clear all DTCs.
Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
Install the HVAC actuator.
Connect all previously disconnected components.
Start the vehicle.
With the scan tool, initiate the Motor Re-calibration feature of the Heating and Air Conditioning Special Functions menu.
Verify that no DTCs have set as current DTCs.
Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.
Alternate Method (w/o Scan Tool)
Clear all DTCs.
Place the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Install the HVAC actuator.
Connect all previously disconnected components.
Remove the HVAC/ECAS fuse for a minimum of 10 seconds.
Install the HVAC/ECAS fuse.
Start the vehicle.
Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.
Verify that no DTCs have set as current DTCs.

Disregard the instructions I posted because it they are only applicable to 2005-2006 Equinox/Torrent.
The procedure in2pro posted is correct for 2007-2009 Equinox/Torrent. However, the fuse you need to remove is labeled "HVAC/RFA" (not "HVAC/ECAS" as the service manual states) in the Instrument Panel fuse block.
