Hi. I just purchased a 2020 Equinox. While driving, a red light will flash on the windshield directly in my eyesight for a split second but I cannot figure out what it's for. I don't see anything in the owners manual about it. It looks like four or five dots or squares forming a horizontal bar.

I'd appreciate any help.

 

It could be some kind of HUD, but as it's so new I haven't a clue.

 

When does it do this? Are you always in the same location when it does it or just randomly as you drive? How often? You can go back to the dealer and ask since it is new.

 

that is what salesmen are for. got back and have them familiarized you with your new vehicle.

 

See if your manual has anything in the index on "heads up display", and review the instruments/gauges section

 

probably some kind of sensor assist like lane departure, blind spot detection etc.

 

I am not sure, I used to have that a red light blinking in the light sensor on the dash of my 2013 Chevy Captiva. I believe it was the car security indicator I would generally notice it after locking the car.

 

it is a warning if you are coming up to fast or close to something in front of you it will flash my seat also vibrates

 

We just bought our Equinox a few weeks ago,and that warning can be annoying, going off at everything... Since tinting the windows it has not gone off at all...
