2015 & up Savana/Express 110 volt household power outlet
Tried charging a 2000 watt hour LiFePo4 power station using the van's built in household power outlet. now i know it's only good for a laptop power brick or a phone charger lol. Just would like to know how to access the inverter which i think is underneath the dash??? I don't know if this part has a fuse or not...? I can plug a phone charger into the or a little charger block into the 110 volt power outlet on the van's dash and the green light will illuminate, however only for a moment, then the green light goes away. Anyone know where to begin???

I run a LIFPO4 battery and inverter in my work van. It charges with a charger that pulls power from the alternator and manages it to charge the battery, protect the alternator and make sure the start battery and van are getting enough juice. It only turns on when it detects the van running. It senses the higher voltage so no extra wiring to turn it on and off. It was easy to hook up. Just a cable from the start battery, a ground to the chassis and a cable from the charger to the + on the LIFPO4 battery.
I use the LIFPO4 battery to run a 1,000 watt inverter. Mostly for charging power tool batteries in the field.
I also added a small 12v fuse panel powered by the LIFPO4 to power lights, fans and any other 12v in the back of the van so I'm never pulling on the start battery for anything.
I can pull power all day without ever starting the van. So far it's been working great. I never have to touch it.
This is the charger I got for my 100AH battery. It's Bluetooth so you can easily monitor the charging. It should work fine for the 2000ah as well. I'm actually thinking of upgrading to a 2000ah. The charger size is based on the alternator output.
