Default "Change Engine Oil" Reset 2012 Chevy Express

I own a 2012 Chevy Express Van and I can't reset the "Change Engine Oil" display. I tried turning the ignition switch to the engine run position (engine not running) and pressed the gas pedal to the floor 3 times, 4 times and 5 times within 5 seconds, none of which worked. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

On my HHR you use the info buttons on the steering wheel. If you don't have the steering wheel buttons, then it should say in the owners manual.

Sorry if that is of no help.

Found this online....

To reset the change engine oil light, do the following:
1. Turn the ignition key to RUN with the engine off.
2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal slowly three times within five seconds.
3. If the Change Engine Oil light flashes for five seconds, the system is reset.
4. Turn the key to LOCK.
If the change engine oil light comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure. If it still does not reset, see your dealer for service. 1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset. - See more at: 2010-2012 Express/Savana Van Maintenance Light Reset Instructions | Oil Reset
