Heater Core question
I have a 1993 G20 Van and the heater core is leaking. I am doing the job myself and reached the point where I have the dash off and have access to the heater core box inside. The 2 hoses are off but I cannot find a way to remove the box to take the heater core out. I need some help, diagram, photos or anything!
I borrowed a Chilton's Repair Manual from the Library but it only says to remove 3 nuts and 1 bolt from the heater core box. It gives not diagrams or photos of the heater core box, either. Very frustrated at this point.
I can't find these 3 nuts. A friend suggested tonight to look around the wheel well on the outside for the nuts. Anybody with experience on these boxes that attach to the firewall on my 1993 G20??

Just for archival accuracy and the fact that nobody had an answer for this puzzle: The 3 nuts that attach the Heater Core box to the firewall can be located on the engine side at the top of the A/C box. As was mine, it was covered with "body glue", a factory applied sealant covering the nuts and preventing them from being seen. After removing these 3 nuts, the box easily comes off. This applies to a 1993 Chevy Van G20. Merry Christmas.
