I have a 2003 GMC Savana 2500 with a recently rebuilt transmission and sometimes after parking and returning after an hour or so in either 1st or reverse when pressing the gas it takes 5-10 seconds of for the car to start rolling. It feels like the transmission needs to build up pressure. Once it does that the first time it drives fine with no issues. It doesn't happen every time but seems more likely to happen if I had parked on an incline. The trans solenoids were replaced in the rebuild so I wouldn't expect it is an issue with them being sticky. I'm going to hook it up to a pressure monitor in the future but I'm curious if anyone else has had the same issue and what the fix was. I wonder if it might be relay related because the fuse block under the hood has a melted horn relay and the fuel pump relay had been making buzzing sounds at random intervals when the van was off. Thanks!
