Just picked up an 02 cavalier and was having some trouble with the radio. When I shut off the vehicle and open the doors it stays on. Eventually it will shut off, usually after 10 minutes or so (never actually timed it). I'm assuming this is not normal behaviour. Is there any way that I can remedy this? Thanks in advance.

 

probably the door pin switch is not working properly. Wiggle it to see if the radio shuts off...if it does, you need a new one...around $10-15

And yes the radio shuts off automatically after 10 mins after the key is turned off....The car automaticallly turns it off so as not to kill the battery
