07 Suburban roof leak???
I have searched a bit but have not found any clues/posts as to why my roof leaks in my 07 suburban LTZ.
I caulked all the areas for the rack screw holes and also around the rear hatch sock that sits up top of the rear hatch. Also have put a dab on the tiny shark antennae where there is a tiny hole for air maybe?
The drains in the sunroof are clean and clear. I am lost to where the water can enter thru the roof onto the liner and find its exit at the rear driver's side where the seat belt coils up into the upper pillar area of the head liner.
I also can not find any info on the roof molding or rain gutters(?)... not sure what they are called but would like to pull the rubber out to inspect but do not see any instructions on how to do so.
Any help or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!!!
thanks,
Ron

blast the air on full and close everything tightly. Spray outside with soapy water.
After 16 years the door seals are probably going.

I did a quick inspect on the door seals and they look intact and in proper position with no deterioration. If they door seals were bad, would the water really get up into the headliner or just drip along the inside door frame?
"soapy water" idea sounds interesting! Is this a common trouble shooting method? Have you tried it?

As a 1st step. I would pull down the headliner so I can actually see where and when water comes in
It's probably glued in. I'd say it's an unlikely spot, but you can test by drenching it with a hose
Headliner soaking is probably from your sunroof.
well they may be draining water from the roof, but the hoses could still be leaking to the inside.
Use a hose to test each drain hole individually
I've also seen windshields leak
