07 Tahoe Transmission Fluid and filter change
Ive read about people doing tranny flushes. Some say good some say dont do it. I think im just going to drop the pan and change filter and replace fluid. Is that the thing to do?
And I have 168000 miles mainly highway and have a tick on cold start up on driverside mid to lower. and goes away after 5 minutes. Im reading that its not big deal and i keep my oil changed faithfully every 3 - 4 thousand.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated on both questions

A Chevy Tahoe with an automatic transmission needs its fluid changed at 30,000 miles. Changing the fluid means changing the filter as well. It is better to change the fluid soon after driving, while it it still warm.

at 168,000 i'd just do a pan drop/filter change if its never been serviced before as for the tick its probably an exhaust leak that seals up once the metal expands

i have fluid, filter, and new seal ready to roll this weekend.
