4x4 problems

I have a 1997 silverado z71.When I put it in 4-wheel drive it blows the fuse.I have looked all under the truck and I don't see any bare wires.Could this be the actutor that has gone bad.Thanks for any help.

i have heard of wires getting bared at the diff actuator
