carb flooding
hey all, just created an account,
anyway, im in the process of putting a 86 chevette 1.6l2barrel carb on a 84firebird 2.8l, now i fabbed up my brackets and all that time consuming stuff, however, when i turn the key, she likes to wanna redline and flood at the same time, with the choke closed... so the redlining, im pretty sure is an airleak beneath the carb. but i cant figure out the overflow... the carb ran fine on the chevette, the only differnences between the 2 enginesi can see are maybe a higher volume fuel pump (I4 to V6), and a different draw of vacuum for the engine..
i didnt think the volume difference would be noticableand the pressures should be the same..and i didnt think vacuum would affect the floats and needles so im alittle confused.. anyhelp would be appreciated
