Default Chevy 350 rebuilding question

I have a chevy 350 that I'm going to be rebuilding, I want to know what I need to get checked out and/or machined at a machine shop before I start to put it back together. Any information tips or help is appreciated . Thanks

Yes I would have the block inspected by a reputable machine shop after you tear it down to have it inspected for any machining that may need to be done, honing of the cylinders etc... If you don't then you may have a few unexpected problems during the reassembly.
