Default Delay cranking 08 Suburban.

Guys I have a question. I recently purchased a 08 suburban LT with 70k. I had a aftermarket flip down dvd player installed today and i think something is wrong. I just cant remember but, When turning my suburban key to the cranking position should there be a 2 to 3 second delay. I think i remember before the install, I would turn the key to the (cranking) position. and it would automaticaly crank and start with out having to hold the key in the on positon. Basicaly turn and let go and it would crank and start itslef. Any info or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

on new vehicles cranking is a request controlled by the ecm; i have never seen or heard of a 2 second delay after the key is turned to start. Its not normal.

Thanks for the respond. As a young lad (LOL) I use to install alarms and stereo systems for Circuit City here in Houston. So I new something wasn't rite. I found that the stereo shop I used spliced into a ignition 12 volt wire under the dash. I unconnected this wire spade connector and sure enough it cranks as it's intended ( instantly). My opinion its either back feeding thru the acc connection or its drawing to much amps thru to the DVD screen. Needless to say guys be careful with these shops claiming to be top notch.. I knew I should of done it myself.. once more thanks for the reply..
