fiering problems
hi
I have a Firebird with some spark/ignition problems.
It makes allot off trouble and bad sounds when giving full trottle.
I have comander 950 and using computer controlled timing, timing is set from 30* to 40* hei distributor.
the cam is a comp cam 292xfi, 383 crank +060 bore, alu heads and around 11-1 compression.
Here is some video shoving the problems!
turn up the sound and listen...
I have checked the timing and it is correct, but I can ad some more and the problem seem to become bether. Then I talk about 50* to 60* In my opinion this is to much advance.
so what can cause this problems?
can it be sparks going all around in the cap and causing misfire.. can it be teh spark plugs, i use NGK6 now.
I did use heat range 4 but I was thinking the heat started to glow the plug and make motor ignite by glowing plugs.
Maybe some wires from my computer are to close to the spark plug wires and trigger the coil.
I love to hear your opinion from the video?
