Default Fuel pressure question

New member, (crusty old guy) here. I'm finding several different answers for the proper fuel pressure for a 2000 3500 7.4l. Does anyone have the proper pressure, or can point me to a link for that information?

Many thanks in advance!

i can second those numbers from joe. this past year my 02 was running with 22ish psi. really lacked power but was able to run. if you want a link to those numbers you can use google and see what everyone else is saying. but i must say i think numbers are more 55-60 but cant say for sure

I appreciate all your input. The website for the replacement injectors says they are calibrated at 43.5 psi. The fuel pressure regulator says it puts out 50 psi. Other places agree with the 55-62 psi numbers. The truck has 40psi and falls on it's face when you try to accelerate. Has new fuel pump, new filter, new regulator, all by prior shops.

if your pressure is only 40 then i would replace the pump even though it has been replaced recently. if its still under some sort of warranty then thats even better. did you take it to the shop or was that by someone else?

Not my vehicle, belongs to a friend who is at his wits end, with varying advice from different shops. He has spent a small fortune on it, and I'm just trying to get some valid information that I can depend on to try to steer him in the right direction.
Don't know about warranty, but I doubt it. Repairs have been done over the last year or year and a half.

Thanks for the advice, though! This one is really kickin' my butt!

I can atest the info posted is at least correct for a 5.3, reason I didn't respond prior is I wasn't exactly sure for a 6 liter.
