Default GEN VI

i got a gen vi with a hydraulic flat tappet cam and lifters.i cant find a cam or lifters that isnt a roller design can someone help me?

Roach, I'm assuming that You mean a 454 engine. You can use an earlier 396-454 cam if You use the earlier Timing set without the retaining plate. Make sure that You allso use the earlier Pushrods along with the proper Hydraulic lifters and Valve spring pressure. The big Block Chevy is hard on tappets ( lifters ) and that is one reason for the change to a roller tappet. You will also get better performance and fuel economy from the roller. Your choice.
