plug leak above oil filter on 283

I have a oil leak at the plug above the oil filter on a '58 283. Is the plug threaded? Is the only way to stop the leak, is to drill out the plug and replace it?

oil galley plug. i believe there pressed/hammered in like a freeze plug.
