Default Rod knock on my vortec 8100
So I have a vortec 8100 big block in my truck and all of a sudden it got this weird squeky rod knock that goes away when I take it off idle. Any ideas on wat it is??

Take the belt off and see if it goes away.

yea maybe an idler pulley, or the water pump or the alternator take the belt off and spin all the pulleys and listen for crackling and feel for interuptions in the smoothness of the pulley while it turns
