Default Strange OBD2 issue

Hi all,
I have a 2004 Tahoe. My OBD2 reader wont link. It has power and runs thru protocols but has a communication error. All fuses are good. When i take it to a shop, their reader works fine. I there something i am missing? im losing my mind trying to figure this out.

if the shop's scan tool works fine the problem is with your scan tool. are you using a phone based scan tool?

I thought that also. So I got another. Still won't connect to truck it but works in my Mazda. So weird.

might not be compatible. try it on another 04 gmc/chevy pick up, Tahoe, suburban.
