97 chevy 1500, 2wd, 5.0 will only shift 1-2 then when supposed to shift to 3 it acts as if theres nothing there then will drop back into 2 any ideas I beleive its the 4L60E tranny in it, Ive read alot of different ideas what it could be but now Im asking all you for any ideas, also the smell of the tranny fluid is not a burnt smell, Im leaning toward like the shift solenoid sensor just looking for some more thoughts Thanks
