Default what do i need to make a 4.3l run

i have a 4.3L EFI out of an 88 cheyenne and i want to put it in a custom chassis i have built, and im wondering what i need to make it run? Just bare bones, nothing fancy, just run. The truck i still have but i have no clue about ecu's and ignition moduals, ive never gotten passed the 3 wires of an old points motor to make it run. Any help would be great, thanks

does it have an HEI ignition? they have a square box on top if so, then u have a good start, next u will need a small carb, this is your choice on what to do, weather it be new or old, but i wouldnt exceed 500 cfm, and for the intake, there are cheap performers out there. or for a totally diferent route, find an 83- 86 4.3 powered S10 in the junkyard and scavange the intake and carb off it (and distributor too if u dont have hei)
hope this helps
