2006 Impala keyless remotes stopped working
I have a 2006 Chevy Impala with two remotes. Both were working then one day, a few months ago, both stopped working. I replaced the batteries on one to test. Still not working.
When I lock the car from the inside with the door switch, there is an audible alarm (like the one if headlights are left on or key is still in ignition) and the doors will not lock until I press the door switch into lock position for a second time.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
Thanks,

The best way to get the remotes reporgramed to the vehicle would be to take it to the dealership. Your owners manual says this on the subject:
have a maximum of eight transmitters matched to it.
As to what would be causing the issue, your dealership would be able to diagnose the issues with the vehicle and fix them accordingly. I hope that helps you.

Each remote keyless entry transmitter is coded to
prevent another transmitter from unlocking your vehicle.
If a transmitter is lost or stolen, a replacement can be
purchased through your GM dealer. Remember to bring
any additional transmitters so they can also be
re-coded to match the new transmitter. Once your
dealer has coded the new transmitter, the lost
transmitter will not unlock your vehicle. The vehicle can
prevent another transmitter from unlocking your vehicle.
