2014 A/C clutch replacement
3.6L V6. has Climate control (but is a 2014 Buick Lacrosse- the buick forums dont seem to help me much). Clutch faces are worn down to spinning with out really grabbing. I would think the A/C compressor and clutch would be exactly the same as found on the 3.6 impala. Can anyone confirm that? Can find parts for impala but says does not fit the buick. Yet when i search for a whole assembly (clutch and compressor) it shows them as the same for replacing either.

Have not. Having a sourcing problem. No one seems to carry the clutch alone. Base LaCrosse with 3.6.
The only clutch i can find for sale separately is for the Impala limited. That compressor is different than the compressors for the buick and the lower line impala.
Thanks for you help on my mothers captiva BTW. and i posed a new question to you about that in that thread.

Yes, in this day and age, parts like a new A/C clutch can be hard to find. I believe that the parts stores are cutting their inventory, and would rather just sell the A/C compressor and clutch as one unit, since that means also selling everything that a D-I-Y has to buy or rent everything needed to be replaced, that goes along with installing a new A/C compressor. Times sure have changed, that's for sure.
