Looks like they resealed his trunk area - but did nothing to the taillight gaskets.

 

does this guy know what he talking about? the body sealer looks like the original factory seal. every unibody seam is sealed the same way. That was not done by the dealer imo. water comes down the back window into the trunk drain channel and goes over the taillamps. if the seal is bad the trunk gets filled.

I assumed he had pulled apart his trunk before he did the after video, so I figured he knew what it looked like before.

finally found out why i keep getting postcards in the mail. before i took ownership, they replaced the seals in the tail lights. but since i didnt own the car then, no need to respond to the postcards which kept asking me to call them!

the return address was some kind of weird name, like connections or something. have to check when i get home. just said call the dealer as they've been trying to get ahold of me. but no luck. funny that they have my phone and email. so i wrote to the customer manager for her to check into

 

maybe you vin is outside the build of the effected vehicles.

 

Well, if some one could post up some pics of the actual fixes, then I'd have less to worry about.

I've kept on requesting people to post build country to rule out USA or Canada builds, but no one posts crap...

Mine - I bought end of November... car was in back of dealer lot.... Build of 10/13 USA... and those are my pictures up above.
