Default engine temperature

Hi, I just bought a police pack (impala2002) and when i floor it (75mph to 115mph) the engine temperature goes up (110F-112F) and drops down after a short time to (95F-100F) when i slow down, my question it's normal?? thx you

If your engine only goes that high your car is doing great in my book. I have a 2000 Impala Police Package and at normal idle speeds and running speeds it stays right dead center which I think is 150F

My impala isn't a us model my gage goes 60F to 125F, does your 2000 Impala Policegoes up the dead center line when you drive hard (push it) ??thx
