R is the HEI resistor, the coil has full battery voltage during crank.

When the ignition switch is on, and not crank, the resistor side power is to the hei.

Looks as if the battery to solenoid, yes. ignition switch to coil, distributor yes, but only if the ignition switch is engaged, and I have to make an assumption you are only getting power to the coil with the ignition switch while cranking. On the ignition switch, you have to have a power wire to the distributor with the key switch on, not only while cranking, but hot when the ignition switch is on.

Theese are my terminals, only got three. Where do I put the ignition wire? I think its the orange one.

Think I’ll just remove the wire from the starter and just use the one from the key switch

i never seen that type of starter, can you put on a starter with the "S" and "R/I" terminals?
