Finally! a recall on the traction control, stabilitrack, throttle shut down problem!!
Finally, I received a recall letter today from Chevy on the Service Traction Control, Service Stabilitrack, Engine power reduced problem. They claim it's a bad solder connection. They are offering to reimburse if you already had repairs done. They're also giving extended protection for 10 yrs./120,000 miles.
So, watch for your letter. If you don't get one, the return address on mine is
Chevrolet
P.O. Box 909989
Milwaukee, WI 53209-9989
My car is a 2010 Impala

I'm having the same issue as Jimk posted, on this forum (on May 5, 2015) with my 2009 Chevy Impala. He stated that there is a recall for this issue and a Certified GM representative confirmed it. Today I called GM to inform them that my vehicle is having these exact issues, and to all for advice on what to do. I was told that they are aware of the issue, but I would've had to purchase a special warranty to cover it! The representative went on to explain that that special warranty coverage was only available for purchase through April of 2019. So, her only advice for me was to take it to a dealership to have it fixed (on my expense). I asked if GM is aware of this issue, why should I have to pay for it? She said to speak to a Customer Experience Manager at the dealership (because "they are the eyes and ears of GM") and maybe they would help me. She attempted to transfer me and said they aren't available. Can anybody offer any help, advice or suggestions for me? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
I bought a 2007 Chevy Impala last May. I am having this SAME friggin issue.. Does anyone know if the recall is still valid???
I received these warnings this week and took it to my local shop. They told me it was a GM repair issue with the accelerator pedal position sensor that would be done for free, but it would have to be done by a dealership. I still had to pay them over $200 in diagnostic fees. The dealership is out of loaners, so now I can't work this weekend on top of it all. No bus service out here, and cabs are wicked expensive after putting out that kind of money.
Seeing as how this is obviously a known issue, maybe GM can reimburse those of us who have paid this money out of pocket? Seems like a fair trade for folks like me who have been loyal Chevy customers for decades...

My 2011 Chevy cruze just started the same thing, is there a recall on it for that problem?

Hello, I have. 2015 Chevrolet Impala and I had trouble with my car’s traction. When I took it to a mechanic he said there was an issue with the Stabilitrack. Antilock brake code U0101. I see on here there was a recall. Does this apply to my vehicle?
Still no response to your question right? I have a 2016 Malibu Premier, mileage 26k, with no open recalls against it. Stabilitrack warning light, check engine light, can't get itself out of the driveway.......and worse yet to me, it's my kids car and he isn't safe driving it thanks to GM unwillingness to be helpful!
