Auto stop malfunction/ Auto stop turns car completely off
Hello I have a 2015 Chevy Malibu 2.5LT that malfunctions when I’m at a stop sign or red light. The car stops and the auto stop kick in and once I take my foot off the brake the car has a hard time starting back up, then eventually will turn completely off. I have to put the car in park and restart the engine completely. Does anyone have this issue or know what could be causing it? It’s getting annoying, I’ve had both batteries replaced and everything else is fine. I just can’t deal with this issue anymore. Thank you in advance!
The first thing I'd do is have both the batteries tested. Treat them as a "set." If one isn't in good shape, replace them both to avoid problems coming back right away. The computers depend on good batteries or they start doing strange things. Auto stop/start is one of the indications the batteries are in poor condition. If the batteries test good, have it scanned with a good scanner and let us know what they are.

hello, I’ve had both batteries replaced and check but I’ll get the 2nd one checked again. The front battery was just replaced under warranty, the auxiliary battery I’m going to take it by Auto Zone today to have it scanned again. Then I’ll give an update, but as far as I’ve been told both batteries are in good shape.
