Default Car audio

I’ve recently been trying to install an aftermarket stereo, amplifier and sub in a 2009 Chevy Malibu. I have it all connected and it powers on and sounds good. But, there is no audio coming from the front door speakers. The speakers themselves work, as they worked before I tried installing the new stereo. I believe it has something to do with my factory wiring harness, the right and left audio wires. They were both frayed and the wire was exposed. I went ahead and replaced them with wire and connectors I found on a similar model car and stereo wiring harness in a junkyard. Still no sound...

Because I replaced the damaged wire in my original post and still have no sound? You don’t have to reply jo.

Also the previous post was regarding my rear speakers. It turns out I was sent a faulty after market wiring harness. So my rear speakers, amplifier and sub work, but my front speakers do not.

please keep everything regarding your stereo installation under one topic, so that user don't have to go hunting all over to see the history.

at least link it in here:

and this one was another extra just for good measure?

are you using a harness adapter for the stereo, or are you following a stereo pinout?

Are you following a wiring diagram or pinout for the vehicle audio system?

Maybe provide some photos or a sketch of what you're doing.

This is the factory wiring harness for the stereo. On the left the two wires replaced were the right and left positive audio signal wires. When I connect these two plugs into my factory stereo no audio comes from the two front door speakers. So I’m thinking the issue resides in the factory harness.

You said the front speakers worked before you tried installing the new stereo. So they only work sometimes, like an intermittent connection.

Try opening the doors back and forth and massaging the door harness rubber cover.

Yea everything worked prior to me installing the new stereo. I’ll give that a shot and see what happens. Thank you.
