At firewall on high pressure line, you'll notice flare in pipe.

pretty sure 06 mailbu do not use orfice tubes. check your condenser...if it has a cylinder next to it, receiver dryer...orfice tubes are not used.

the metering device would then be a thermal expansion valve located where both high and low a/c lines connect at the fire wall.

Tech2, I just removed orifice tube (NOT ORIFICE TUBE, FILTER) to check for debri. Replacing compressor next. Made ever separation possible from condenser back and wound up at firewall. Lower line has flare and orifice tube going to high side. At end of week will supply pics when replacing new orifice tube and comp.

Pics

Last edited by James Rupinski Sr.; June 28th, 2016 at 1:18 PM. Reason: This system DOES NOT have an orfice tube. What is showing in picture is actually just a FILTER...
