Default P0013 codes +

I have a 2014 Chevy Malibu eco 2.5L

I got the p0013, p0014, p0013pd, and p0014pd according to the local parts shop using a computer...

I went online to look at what needs to be replaced and looks like it needs cam shaft position timer actuator..

I looked at several Youtube fixes for this and there were two different fixes

one was in the back of the engine... and then the intake and exhaust actuators on the left side of the engine (looking at the motor)

can anyone clarify this for me?

thanks in advance

Your issue is with the variable valve timing solenoids I have a 2015 2.5 liter no issues to date with 80k on the odometer. Lots of these issue crop up as the owners don't change the oil on time or use a cheaper oil. The VVT solenoids have small screens on them that can get dirty and since the solenoid is not receiving good clean oil, they get dirty, start sticking.and you end up with OBD II codes as the valve timing is not where it should be and the ECM sends the codes out, but you dont have four codes as there is no such thing as a "pg" at the end of an OBD II code, just five, such as P0013 and P0014. Parts shop guys are notorious for being mistaken as they are not techs

Stock ACDelcos are $32s buck for one unit if you decide to change them. How many miles are on your Malibu?.How has the maintenance been done on the Bu'? Did you take it to an oil change outfit? Those places are well known for using the wrong oil and fluids.
