Exclamation Stabilitrak Service Warning + Throttle body Issue

Hey everyone,

My car's check engine light turned on and I noticed my car started hardshifting so I brought it in to a mechanic (a guy I personally know who wouldn't mess around with me or overcharge me.)
He said the diagnostic said the throttle body needed replaced and the sensor was bad. I had him replace both of those and he said he could not find anything else wrong with it so I was pretty happy.
Now, a couple of days later, the "service stabilitrak" warning popped up with a notification saying my engine had reduced power.
I was obviously a bit disheartened. Has anyone else had this specific issue or can point me to the right direction?
I took it back into another shop to get a second opinion so they might find what is wrong with it tomorrow, I just want to be mentally prepared in case another person can't figure it out or if I am going to have to pay out the wazoo to get it fixed.
My car is a 2014 Malibu LS btw with around 100k miles on it. Drove like a dream until this started happening and have been taking it in to get looked at regularly. The only other issue I had was I needed to get a battery replaced a while back.

Thanks for your time, any advice would be great!

maybe he wouldn't do those things, but that doesn't mean he knows how to work on cars.

well that's a lie. Diagnostics never tell you to replace stuff. They're not that specific.

I rest my case. Throwing parts at a problem rarely works.

There's nothing specific about it. They are pretty common symptoms which have a myriad of possible causes. You need a real mechanic who knows what he's doing to troubleshoot the issue.

Do you know any of the trouble codes the diagnostic generated?
