Hi My name is Vanessa and I have a 2001 Chevy Impala. I was hoping someone on here could possible explain what happened to my heater. It was making loud squeeling noises on the passenger side under the dashboard and then a few hours later when I turned it on (it is pretty cold here, about 10 degrees) , I heard a loud crack and then all heat and fan stopped. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

The squealing sound may have come from the blower motor bearings going out. Not sure what the rest of it could be. If you post your question in the Impala section, you will get more views and answers.
