Default Hi, my name Brandon. I have a ???? 2000 Impala

First, I would like to say how nice and organized this forum is. Second, I have a 2000 Impala that is making noise from the front end. After reading some other thread's, I think the noise is from the steering knuckle. However, when I jacked up the front of the car, I noticed there was some play in both front wheel bearings. Is this common from these cars? It does'nt seem as though the noise is coming from the bearings. At least it is not your common bearing noise. Do you think I should replace the bearings anyway? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Brandon

Welcome to the forum! As far as your front end noise, you shouldn't have play in the bearings. This would create a shimmy in the steering wheel as well as some noise. You ought to get those things checked out and/or replaced asap.
