Default 1991 S10 – Electrical Problem- Nothing Working

I am new to this forum. Please excuse my question if it has previously been asked and answered. I have a 1991 S10, V6, 4WD, AT. Yesterday evening, after driving it two timesearlier that day, I attempted to start it and it will not do anything. Nothing electrical is working, no lights, radio, nothing. Any suggestions on whereto begin would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I would start by ensuring that the battery is good.
Next check the battery terminals and connections, clean as needed.
If the battery is good and the connections at the battery are good then make sure that the ground cable has a good connection as well as inspecting the positive connection at the starter and the fuze box under the hood.
Check all your fuzes both under the hood and inside the cab.

From what you described you have either a blown fuze of a bad connection.

I had a similar problem with my '94. I had stopped at a fast food joint, and nothing worked when I came out. I had power at the battery, but not at the fusebox. It turned out to be a corroded terminal. It's always a good idea to use dielectric grease on connections under the hood. I put it on my spark plug terminals and the battery terminals now, it helps fight the crud that can build up on these connections.

Did you get the problem with your S10 fixed? My 2001 Chevrolet S10 has no power at all. My insurance company came out and started it by clamping the connecting cables The inside lights came on immediately and the mechanic was able to start the truck. I let it run for about an hour, then turned it off. It went completely dead again. So far, I have not found someone to fix it.

darlene sounds like a dead battery or bad connection at the battery terminal
