Question 89 S10 pu 4.3 efi shuts down after starting

I identified a bad #5 plug wire. Replaced all wires, cap & rotor. Truck starts fine, but shuts down after 1-2 mins. After sitting 1 min it starts right up, but shuts down again 1-2 mins. Any ideas?

The first place I would start would be to check the fuel pressure to see if the fuel pump is working correctly.

Thank you, CF, I checked the fuel system - all is OK.

The way the truck shuts off so quickly and completely, makes me think it is electrical not fuel.

All thoughts are welcome. Thank you.

Sounds like it is electrical. Look for something that heats up. My guess would be the ignition module. They get hot. And/or fuel relay.
