My 97 s10 5 speed has no cat because I took it out. The honey comb was broken inside and I removed it, but replaced with a resonator which it has a narrow passage and it doesn't like a regular pipe. My question is, has anybody tried ebay cats? does it work?

cheap cats will set low efficiency codes. p0420 p0430. don't buy weld in cats...get a quality part at a jobber.

lack of cats is an instant fail on PA vehicles, regardless of county..yer lucky to live where that is allowed...I ALWAYS use Rock Auto for parts...never had a bad part from them (so far-knocks on wood) and they do offer the higher quality parts as well as the cheaper weld-ins the prior poster mentioned
