Hi, I have a 1999 2.2L s-10 with an auto tranny, it is also a shotr bed reg.cab. I have been researching and considering swapping the motor out for a 4.3, and/or the tranny for a 5-speed, as both are more desireable to me. I may have stumbled across a deal on several s-10s which have both motors, and tranny's. I would like to know how hard this will be to do, for either, and/or both. I can handle most mechanical aspects, and have several people more experienced than myself to help, but i'm not sure about the price of other parts, and what type of work will need to be done to the computer on the truck. Any advice anyone has on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
