Here's my issue. I have an airbag light and my horn doesn't work. I'm pretty sure that my cruise control doesn't work but I haven't tried it in a long time. After research I found it was most likely the airbag clock spring. So I went to the local pull-a-part and got one to replace it with. It didn't fix anything so I figured it was bad too. Now I just replaced that one with a new clock spring from the store and it too didn't change a thing. What else could it be? Neither Chilton or Haynes help at all as far as trouble shooting the airbag system go. Any ideas?

BTW it's a 1996 s-10, ext cab, v6 4.3L (x), 5 spd, 160k.

You need to have the air bag computer scanned for codes then go from there.

 

Where can I do that? At the shop? The scanner at the parts store won't scan for airbag codes.
