Default need pic of dash radio 2000 LS 4WD

My 2000LS automatic 4wd S10 came with the optional stand-alone cassette deck mounted into the floor console...a prior owner had removed the factory dash radio n put an aftermarket 1 in, rendering this cassette deck useless, as it uses the dash radio for all it's inputs/outputs/amp/power, etc-HOPEFULLY, he didnt destroy/cut the OEM wiring or pigtails- I havent gotten in behind that aftermarket one until I KNOW, 100%, what the factory radio looks like, and that they are still tucked in there in the dash...I wanna put the OEM factory radio back in, but all my research shows diff models avail n' I wanna be sure I get the right one...also have heard, they may be "vehicle specific", meaning they cant be taken from another S10/S15 w/o some kind of anti-theft code clear?? Does anyone have or can make pics of the correct dash radio, both front and back (so I can see where/how the wiring harness coming from this floor deck plugs in)?..or a link to one that would show the exact dash radio?-I've seen dash radios w/the tape deck placed there and seen dash radios w.CD players and I've seen w/just the radio, but never a pic of a cabin interior w/the set up like I have-w/the dedicated floor console cassette deck-soooo confusing...attached is a pic of my floor console after I took it out of the truck and removed the tape deck to see if I could figure out how to test it (only was able to get the center LED @ the eject door to light, nothing else) plus a 2nd pic of the 9 pin flat pigtail receptacle schematic (I'm guessing-it may be the schematic @ the radio end) @ the rear of the floor tape deck...thanks

They always draw battery unless they are in *perfect* new condition. They supposedly go into low power mode: when they're not broken. If they aren't "replacements from who knows where with IDK if they did the wiring right"

> "previous owner install aftermarket 1 in"

I took my radio out. They cause strange issues and dead batteries. F'it. I use my iPhone for music and never use the car for charging the cell phone. Guess what? I won't need my car towed for dead battery.

BUT YES YOUR RIGHT. If you get the wiring wrong you can cause a battery draw (a radio that doesn't sleep when you take the key out of the ignition, or worse; a shadow ground or non-parallel in-series amp draw - who knows). It's a famous problem from suspicous radio installtion that there are "strange problems" even from so called pro radio installers.

What we did at the dealer? The customer was told "you are replacing it with the OEM radio or we can disable it - we do NOT fix bad installations ever - take it back to the people who installed it"

Thanks for the side note, but my post was asking for a pic of the stock OEM S10 dash radio w/ CD player, where the cassette isn't part of the radio, but is remotely located in the floor console.I believe this is what one looks like (see below), but I was just looking for confirmation before proceeding...I decided to go ahead & tear the dash open to confirm prior owner didn't destroy the orig wiring-it's ALL there. I also now know how to re-program if my truck "rejects" it.

just a note that i found what works (yes..it is the one I posted a pic of), paid $25 for one @ a junkyard, and installed in my truck (piece of cake), works perfect, including the remote cassette deck located in the floor console.......also, didnt even have to re-code the "TheftLock"...consider this thread solved
