Default no lights on 4 wheel drive selector

04 blazer 4 button 4wd selector on dash...(scenario)...new tccm..(NP8), new 4-button switch selector on dash...no lights on it...only for a second when turning key on to start engine...no noise on tccm either when pushing buttons..no action from the encoder motor....the tranny is somehow in like a neutral state....when i try to put in reverse or drive the motor revs up but i dont go anywhere...but when i put it back into park it grinds...i'm at my wits end with it....any suggestions would help....p.s. the atc and all fuses are good...i put a test light to the switches (orange and black connecter_ where the tccm goes power and ground are there..can't think of anymore info..to give you....oh also service 4 wheel drive dummy light is on...but when i disconnect the tccm is goes off...returns on when connecting back the tccm
