Hi,
I am a un-knowledgeable Chevy owner. Recently my 2000 Automatic S10 LS truck has been acting a little funny and eventually the "Service Engine Soon" light appeared. I noticed that my transmission would "hiccup" when I was making long trips (+100 miles). As a college kid, thats fairly regular. I took it to Advance Auto to get a diagnostics test and it read "Transmission Control Unit Error" (something along those lines). Does anybody have experience with something like this? Should I take it to a shop or attempt to fix this on my own?
