Default Truck simply shut off

93 S10 fired up fine, got down the street to the light and simply shut off. I have no dash lights, dome, headlights or underhood lights. Radio works and truck turns over strongly but won't catch. When sun comes up I will go through fuses. Any thoughts?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Well good thing is it doesn't sound like an electrical problem..

So start with checking the spark plugs and your injectors.
Make sure the battery connectors are clean and fully seated.
Check your wires and your distributor for ANY thing that is unusual.

Hopefully this is a simple fix.. good luck

Default turns out...

...there's a positive wire that comes directly from the starter up to the cab. It runs very near tot he exhaust manifold and finally melted through. It carries all the juice up from the battery. A quick fix once you find it.
