Default Exhaust Q for 5.3

I need advice on a muffler for my 5.3, what sounds good? I wanted a glasspack but people told me they sound like crap

Its a Tahoe, Suburban, or Silverado....

Go with Flowmaster or Magnaflow and you can't go wrong.

u wantin rumbley and mellow or loud and cackles?? i dont like the sound of flows personally cuz for me theyre not loud enough so i got glass packs

with glasspacks you can kind of tune it to your tast want it loud and cackly put them way up front want em to rumble put em way in the back

if you want it loud, throw some long tube headers on and put the short 3" turn downs on the ends. thats your louds. Or if you want it louder, do shorty's and put maybe a 2' piece of 2.5-3" exhaust tubing off the shorty's.

Im installing a Thrush (knock off Flowmaster) with 3" inlet and 3" outlet with a turn down. I'll be out $55 for a little rumble. Oh yeah! Its a 2009 Silverado 5.3
